In the following section we will try to answer your frequently asked questions, giving you all the information you need..

  • Where is the meeting point?

Our staff will pick you up at your hotel, or wherever you like, and take you to the take off point.

  • What clothes do we have to wear?

The temperature in flight is similar to the temperature on the hearth. We suggest you wear casual clothes and rubber – soled shoes.

  • Can we take part in the pumping up of the balloon?

Yes, you can. And you can also help the captain who will show you how it works and the procedures.

  • Will ballooning give me vertigo?

Not usually. Anyone who suffers from vertigo can go ballooning due to the feeling of safety and control that it gives.

  • When do we take off ?

We take off half an hour after dawn and one hour before sunset. They are both the best times (the air is at its steadiest) when we can balloon in complete safety and also enjoy the beautiful light. As the leaving point and the landing point are not in the same place, do not forget to take your personal belongings, camera, binoculars with you.

  • How long does the flight take and how long is the whole tour?

I The flight takes about 1 hour. The duration of the tour depends on the one you choose. For example, Tuscan Experience takes about 3 hours, including transfers, a light breakfast and, after landing, a toast with a bottle of wine to your first flight.

  • What kind of balloon do we fly in?

The balloon we have is 25 m high (about a five-storey building) and about 2000mc in volume. It can carry 4/5 persons including the pilot and, as we have several balloons, we can manage groups of up to 50 people.

  • Can we smoke on board the balloon?

No, smoking is not allowed either during preparation for take off or during the flight.

  • Is there an age limit for ballooning?

 Yes, there is. Children from 6 to 18 can balloon with their parents’ permission. Ballooning is not advisable for pregnant woman.

  • What is permitted during a flight ?

You are free to move inside the basket, take pictures or film. You must only be careful not to touch the equipment, burners, pipes, etc.

  • What do we have to do during landing?

A while before landing we have to choose a place in the basket and stay there until the landing is over. Before the basket touches land we have to hold tightly on to the handles and bend our knees. We can only leave the basket when the pilot indicates it is safe to do so.

  • What happens in the event of bad weather?

The flight will be put off until a new date

  • Can I give a balloon flight as a present?

Of course. It is a great idea, even for just one person. Our staff will arrange to combine his or her flight with that of another passenger.
